The second of the Analyzer video tutorials focuses on the ease of building process models using the drag and drop functionality of the software.

To use Analyzer you will need Microsoft Visio already installed on your computer as this software is used to draw the process maps. You may find that Visio has already been installed as part of your Microsoft Office suite, but if not, you will need to purchase a licence for this software before you can start to benefit from using Analyzer.

To standardise the way you draw your process models, Analyzer uses the Business Process Modelling Notation (BPMN) shape set. This ensures that everyone in your organisation can readily understand the process models and focus on the information rather than the style of the maps. BPMN was selected because of the simplicity it provides in building process models, allowing you to concentrate on defining the individual tasks within each process.

  • What are the key processes for your organisation?
  • In which areas of your business could you improve the effectiveness of your processes?
  • What are your high volume processes?
  • What would be the affect of a 10% reduction in the cost of these processes on your bottom line?
  • How can you make more productive use of the skills and experience of your staff?

As you watch this video tutorial, please keep these questions in mind. It will show how Analyzer can enable you to determine the true impact of change and ensure that your organisation will survive and prosper in the current economic climate.
