Before you view this video in the programme, let’s briefly recap on what we have covered in the tutorials so far. The first video gave you a quick overview of the functionality of Analyzer by way of an introduction, to understanding the impact of change modelling your processes can deliver. The subsequent videos have explained how to:-

  • Create process models within a project hierarchy
  • Add resources to the tasks within each process
  • Calculate the costs and resource requirements for each process based on the volume throughput
  • Create a range of “what-if” scenarios using the CLONE function of the software

Understanding the Information

So now we come to the most important part of Analyzer. The INFORMATION. You’ve spent time creating the models and now you want to compare scenarios, review costs and resource requirements and use the reporting capabilities to make your recommended changes to process.

Remember, Analyzer is not a “black box” which tells you what you should do. Like all information systems it presents you with detail and summary information and empowers you to use your skill and judgment to select which processes to change.

In this, the fifth video in the series, I will show you how to view the scenario summaries and explore the detailed cost and resource data for each scenario and summary. I will also show how you can export information to Microsoft Word® and Excel®, which can then be incorporated into business cases and presentations.
